  • Use: Designed for fluidized bed dryers where hot air passes through particulate material to dry it.
  • Purpose: Captures fine particles released during drying to prevent air pollution.
  • Material: Usually heat-resistant and durable fabrics like polyester or PTFE.

This is a broad category that includes various types of filter bags used to capture dust particles in industrial settings like cement plants, steel mills, chemical plants, etc.

  • Polyester Dust Filter Bag:

Most common filter bag material; good chemical resistance, temperature resistance up to ~130°C, and relatively cost-effective.

  • Acrylic Dust Filter Bag:

Used for applications with slightly higher temperatures (~150°C) and good chemical resistance, especially to acidic gases.

  • Fiberglass Filter Bag:

High temperature resistance (~250-300°C or more), used in harsh, high-temp environments like power plants.

  • Nomex Dust Filter Bag:

Made of aramid fiber; very good heat resistance (~200-220°C), chemical resistance, and mechanical strength.

PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) Dust Filter Bag:

Excellent chemical and high temperature resistance (~180-200°C), often used in corrosive environments.

  • PTFE Dust Filter Bag:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) bags have very high chemical resistance and temperature resistance (~260°C), non-stick surface, excellent for sticky dusts.

  • P84 Dust Filter Bag:

Made from polyimide fibers, excellent high-temperature resistance (~250-280°C), chemical stability, often used in power and chemical plants.

  • Use: These are filter bags with multiple pockets or compartments sewn in.
  • Purpose: Increase filtration surface area within a dust collector, improving dust collection efficiency and airflow.
  • Application: Common in baghouse dust collectors.

Dalamatic® bag filters provide reliable and efficient dust filtration for industrial baghouse systems. Made from durable, high-quality materials, they capture fine dust particles while maintaining optimal airflow. Easy to install and built to last, these filters help industries meet environmental standards and keep workplaces clean.

  • Use: Nylon mesh filter bags are used for liquid filtration where particulate matter needs to be removed from fluids.
  • Material: Nylon mesh is flexible, durable, and chemically resistant to many liquids.
  • Application: Common in water treatment, chemical filtration, food processing, or paint filtration.

Filter Bag Information

Nylon Monofilament PP Pool Water Filtration
Liquid Filter Bag Water Filter Purifier

Among the various types of filter fabrics, monofilament and multifilament filter fabrics stand out due to their unique performance characteristics and wide range of applications. The choice depends on the application's need for particle removal precision, cake release characteristics, and cleaning frequency.

Filter Bag Comparison

Monofilament Filter Bags

Construction

Made from individual, single, continuous fibers woven into a mesh.

Key Characteristics

  • High Strength: Good compressive strength and high tensile strength
  • Smooth Surface: Not easily deformed and easy to clean
  • Low Blinding: Excellent cake release properties
  • Dense Structure: Good air permeability and resistant to clogging

Performance

  • Surface Filtration: Precise surface filtration for larger particles
  • Collection Efficiency: Lower particle collection efficiency compared to multifilament
Ideal Applications: Coarse filtration, bulk filtration, water filtration, vacuum belt filters, vacuum drum filters, vertical leaf filters, and applications requiring easy cleaning and reusable bags.

Multifilament Filter Bags

Construction

Made from multiple fine fibers twisted together into a yarn before being woven.

Key Characteristics

  • Complex Structure: Diverse weaving methods allow for pore size adjustments
  • High Dirt-Holding Capacity: Complex structure provides superior dirt retention
  • Higher Strength: Multiple fibers result in enhanced strength and stability
  • Uniform Pore Size: Fine and consistent pores effectively trap small particles

Performance

  • Fine Filtration: Excellent for retaining fine particles and achieving high filtration accuracy
  • Higher Efficiency: Superior particle collection efficiency
  • Cake Release: Less efficient cake release compared to monofilament
Ideal Applications: Fine filtration, capturing smaller particles, tower pressure filters, and applications where high efficiency is paramount.

Selection Criteria

Filtration Accuracy

Choose monofilament for coarse particles and multifilament for fine particles requiring high precision.

Cake Release Properties

Select monofilament for applications where easy cake release is critical to prevent blinding.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Monofilament bags are easier to clean and can be reused more effectively, reducing operational costs.

Equipment Compatibility

Consider specific operating equipment and filtration requirements to determine the most suitable fabric type.

Applications & Industries

Monofilament Applications

  • Vacuum belt filters
  • Vacuum drum filters
  • Vertical leaf filters
  • Pool water filtration
  • Bulk liquid filtration

Multifilament Applications

  • Tower pressure filters
  • Fine particle separation
  • High-efficiency filtration systems
  • Precision filtration processes
